Ok I just bought my KX7-333R and XP2100+...but im stuck with a 250Watt PSU till I find a replacement for my other system whose PSU went bad.

Is temporarily running the Athlon and mobo on 250W supply a bad idea? Ive seen Duron systems running on even lesser PSU's...but Im just wondering if 250W will not even boot this thing or what. Im assuming it will work, but Im wary as to how many drives/cards/etc I hook it up to, since ive got lots of fans in the new Chieftec case.

Anyone with any experience/ideas? Its appreciated...thanks :)

Well, it's not bad, but it probably won't even boot, considering the AXP 2100+ takes a ridiculous amount of wattage, that I doubt your 250W PSU is putting out. I'd be suprised if it works, but even if it does boot, your limited to a relatively small number of drives, say maybe 2 or 3. If you plan on using many drives, get over the standard 300W PSU most people recommend, as much as 350, 400, 431, or more if you can get it at a good price.
