Now that I have my new system with XP organize and reloaded with stuff
from old computer, I want to do a backup and was wondering if there is
any thing out there that I can define what I want backed up and then I
can just run the program weekly/monthly. If I add a new program
requiring data then I could add it to the backup list. I would be
backing up to CDs. Any thoughts????
Thanks

For information on how "To schedule a backup", search the
Windows XP Professional Help and Support Center for the words in
double-quotes and read the Suggested Topic by that title.
Note that he Windows XP CD recording program does not support
packet writing and does not contain a feature to format a
recordable CD. As such, you will not be able to select a CD-R/W
as Backup destination when using the Windows Backup program
(ntbackup.exe).
To workaround this issue perform the backup to your hard disk,
then write the *.bkf to the CD-R(W). Else, turn off the CD
Writing Feature of the CD-RW drive, install a 3rd party program
that supports packet writing (such as Nero In-CD), use that
program to prepare (format) your CD-R/W for packet writing, then
perform the backup.
