I am getting ready to purchase a new LCD display for my gaming PC. Does anyone have a good suggestion, 20" or above and Widescreen preferred but 4:3 is find too. Just want to make sure I don't get ghosting or bleeding and etc.
Try overclcockers.co.uk, Dabs, Scan, Misco for them
Any monitor with a response time of around 5ms should do you fine (though I havent yet been able to compare actual experience for playing a game on a 16ms and a 5ms monitor so I can't fully say that its worth the extra cash for the increased response time. But going by what other people have said then it probably is).
See that is where i get confused because when going to cnet they list the best display for movies and gaming the Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitor. And it as a 6ms grey to grey and 14ms black to white
And Viewsonic has a 2ms and 3ms display but I seen some bad reviews on it.
if you get a widescreen, dont forget that some games dont support widescreen gaming, leaving them either stretched or well looking like crap. though that being said i think that http://www.widescreengamingforum.c [...] =Main_Page has alot of fixes
i've got a ProView 19ws which i dont think ghosts or has any odd issues. also i think that phillips brillince (just search for phillips widescreen 23" )
in my experience, i have never had a problem playing games in widescreen. of course you need to edit some files or download a hack. but almost any game on store shelves can use widescreen.
