Published on October 19, 2006

Kudos is to be dished out to Kevin Poulsen, Wired Senior Editor and former code monkey (to say the least); who has written an extremely interesting article about how he, using a search algorithm he programmed himself, managed to do what MySpace has said is not possible in catching registered sex offenders on the site. So, by now you all probably have realised that TwitchGuru has a blog. It's the place where we come to unleash streams of consciousness that do not have an article to go into, or which are too immediate to wait for a slot to open up in the schedule. I'd like to ask, though, what you guys think of it? What's good, what's crap, what would you do differently?

Secondly, we have a MySpace profile all filled out. I say "filled out" because Rob created that back in late September, but it fell to the responsible one to actually put more than a fancy logo onto it. Gwan, add us. It's an easier way to tell your friends about TwitchGuru than, I don't know, participating in real human contact.

Meanwhile, does anyone happen to have a spare bed/couch in some warm part of Europe? I just walked outside in a short sleeved shirt, for it is a clear and bright day. Turns out that it's also just shy above freezing, if you add in wind chill. If you live in a warm climate and want to see how we run TG Publishing (mostly by accident, but that's fun all in and of itself) then feel free to put me up until next April or May.

The TwitchGuru blog I like. It's a nice little forum for you and Rob to sound off on things that might be of interest to the TwitchGuru audience, but don't really have a place on the TwitchGuru site itself.

But MySpace? Seriously? Why?

So why don't you move in with him? Might be a comfy solution for your issues with the chill factor.
