this is what it says after i try to run it?
anyone have any ideas i patched it as well its a retail dvd. What software can it be talking about I do have dvdx and alcohol , others as well but they are not running

Does not matter if they are running or not, the fact that they are installed is reason enough for the software to go off. Try updating the DVD emulation software to the latest version and if that does not work. Try uninstalling them both and see what one is causing the problem and change to a better one.

I have Demon Tools and the game runs fine with that running in the background.

you could even try to rename the aclcohol and others or just move to another partition and lock it down so it cant access it. There is no reason with the server they have that they couldnt tell if 2 disks had the same sserial #'s meaning, you should be able to emulate your copy so you dont have to keep putting it in the drive. They are sooo worried about copies.

Yeh seems like a futile course of action they keep taking to throw in ridiculously bad copy protection software in game start-ups. They always get hacked with in the first few hours anyway so is there really any point?

Oh and the other partition thing might work since I have all my software installed on C: while the games are all installed on F: and I have never had a problem with games saying they detected software.

[B]Also um das Ganze hier zu lösen!

Zum Problem:

Durch das Updaten der Deluxe Edition auf 1.5 kommt es zu einem Konflikt zwischen dem Spiel und euren SATA Laufwerk! Dieser Fehler ist EA bekannt!!!

DAS PRoblem besteht aber nur bei der DELUXE EDT.

Lösung:

Schreibt an den EA Support eine saftige E-Mail!!!

Ich habe gedroht nie wieder ein Spiel bei EA zu kaufen und mich gegebenfalls mit höheren Stellen in Verbindung zu setzen falls ich auf dieses Problem keine kompetente Antwort bekomme.

Ich habe innerhalb von 36 Std. eine Antwort erhalten und mir wurde das Spiel 2 Tage später in eine normale Version BF2142 plus Northern Strike auf dem Postweg getauscht!

Nun funzt alles einwandfrei!!!
