I wasn't impressed very much by the demo of either one. They are just rehashed game styles that have been done a hundred times before.

Prey uses the Doom 3 Graphics Engine.
I really loved the demo of PREY, LOTS of fun! I've been hanging out to get the full version for a while, but I just haven't seem to get there.... ah well I may as well order it now!

Just download the demos and see for yourself

I was pretty interested in trying out Prey. I heard it was kinda short, which doesn't bother me a whole lot (one of my favorite FPS of all time is Sin:Episode1 which is like only 7-10 hours).

I found it on the Egg for $45 Is it worth it?

Prey I think has potential to be alright at least. I downloaded it and haven't played it much. GFX are decent. If as someone aid above it uses the D3 engine then it has improved lots upon it.

There are some interesting uses of space design is the only way I can think of describing it. One second you could be on the "ground" Next thing your on the ceiling. It's a nice touch when, in situations where you are on the ceiling and u kill an enemy they fall to the ground below but obviously cos of your perspective the enemies fall upwards :)

But anyway, my major complaint is that the weapons are all the usual laser gun type things which I hate and follow that by somewhat boring game play that is not helped by the ability to leave your body in the form of a spirit.

The game does has a touch of "epicness" about it but it's mostly a flat and uninteresting experience.

I got it for my birthday. It's a fun game but nothing seriously special, other than that it is the first FPS in a while that is able to hold my attention for more than the first two hours. I like the fiddling with gravity and the portals, for hardcore players it's too easy but once you've played it on easy, there is a bad a$$ mode (that I havent gotten to yet). Personally I don't like it when a game forces you to play it at a difficulty level you don't like, and only later opens up completely. But that's just my personal opinion.

It's definitely more fun than Doom3 but whether that's an accomplishment I leave for others to comment on

About 2ish hours at this stage and that was a few days ago. There are cool moments, say when the alien ship opens to show the earth but in the end it's a by the numbers shooter.

I have to admit being almost entirely against fps's that use laser gun type things tho. They never hold my attention.

Although it uses the Doom 3 engine, it is a lot more like Half-Life. It has a variety of cool gameplay features, and some really amazing stuff. It gets a little sloppy towards the end, but all around it's a great shooter and its worth playing.

People say how Titan Quest is just a rehashed version of a style that's been done way too many times... and maybe they're right... to a point.

But if you enjoyed Diablo 2 and enjoy that style of game (hack/slash/level up) then You'd probably really enjoy Titan Quest.

I like it, and I was hooked on D2 for years.
