Oblivion game console will not open with ~ I have the ini file set to 1 and have the controls for devices turned to 0 in the ini. any ideas why its not showing up? Is it hidden ?

The "Console" is a vertical flashing cursor in the lower left corner on the screen. Its not a separate window as in Quake or COD2.

Thanks for the reply but for some reason there is nothing happening. no cusor or anything else. i've tried to change the ini file to 0 then back to 1. and i took out the controls to 0 so can you think of anything else it might be?

Hello, good question what is the right setup for the ~ key maybe im doing something wrong? can a patch not allow it to come up? ballowconsole key log was changed to 1

I get into the console accidentally all the time by accidentally hitting the ` (~) key. I hit it accidentally when I try to pull up the inventory screen (TAB). Try hitting the ~ without hitting SHIFT.
