I bought a ASRock K7VT6 motherboard and I have 2 problems
-To be able to boot on the SATA HDD, I have created a floppy with the CD as explained in the manual but while the setup of Windows XP, the setup software cancel the installation because it couldn't access to viaraid.sys but the file is on the floppy...grrrr

-Last but not the least, when I start the pc, the screen stay black and show the message "No Signal Or Cable disconnected"...The graphic card is ok, I tested this baby several times with another motherboard.

For me, the motherboard is faulty, especially the AGP bus perhaps not for the file since I saw that ASRock puta new SATA driver for floppy on their web site...help me please. T_T

From your description, I have to think that the fault is yours, not the board. You said nothing about hitting F6 at the proper time during installation of XP to load the SATA driver (XP calls it 'Hit F6 to load SCSI drivers'). If you missed that, then no wonder things don't work right.

As for the error message, I saw nothing about any video card, simply something that says "cable". It might say that if XP doesn't load the SATA driver at the right time and then the controller/motherboard can't see the SATA cable as being connected.

I have hit F6 and the driver load correctly for the first part of the setup. It is in the second part of the install, when Windows want to reload hit that an error occur.

Still, the file you mention- viaraid.sys, is the raid driver for the VIA chipset on the motherboard. If it didn't find that file on the disk you made, then it may be a case of the chipset on the motherboard looking for a driver that isn't there. It would interesting to know where it's looking for the driver and if you could get a copy and put it where it wants to see it.

This kind of situation is very hard to deal with from a long distance. All I can do is to suggest possible cures.
