I saw something kinda neat !! A computer case with a temp showing. I'd be interested in adding something like that to my case as an aftermarket item / add on.
Now if it went in the spare 3.5 inch slot cover, that would really be neat!!

Recommendations sought.

Well, you can get the <A HREF="http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/8/163.htm?362" target="_new">CompuNurse</A> or you can get the <A HREF="http://www.amdmb.com/article-display.php?ArticleID=83" target="_new">Digital Doc 5</A> and have one of the coolest toys on the block!

You don't even have to be satisfied with just the temp. You can show all kinds of things on a case-front display. Go to www.techtv.com and search for "case mods". They did an entire segment on how to add such displays. Be warned! They are NOT CHEAP ($100+).

How about one of <A HREF="http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog_name=CTLG&category_name=CTLG_007_024_002_000&product_id=63-1009" target="_new">these</A>?

PS - you can use something like that to monitor CPU/heatsink temp as well. Cut the plastic off the end of the thermocouple probe, drill a hole (just a little bigger then the thermocouple) in the side of your heatsink (in a side WITHOUT clips) that reaches in just above the cpu core, and glue in the thermocouple using thermal epoxy (also available from Radio Shack). MAke sure the hole is filled completely without air bubbles.
