Hi,
I am running Windows XP on my desktop.
I am using Linksys Wireless G PCI adapter (WMP54GS) on it to connect to my
wireless network. When I bring my network connections to configure the
wireless adapter, I don't see "Wireless Networks" tab. I only have General
and Advanced tabs. I am not able to set all the security settings clicking
on the "Configure" button below the "Connect using:"
FYI: I fully updated the OS.

Looks like the Wireless Zero Configuration service is not running.
Use Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services, scroll down to
'Wireless Zero Configuration', double click, click Start, and set
'Startup type' to Automatic.
Hope this helps

It's is not, it isn't ain't, and it's it's, not its, if you mean it
is. If you don't, it's its. Then too, it's hers. It isn't her's.
It isn't our's either. It's ours, and likewise yours and theirs.
