Hello everyone,
I posted a few days ago in the Cooling and Heatsinks forum a thread about my new PC with an Athlon XP 2100+ and an Asus A7V333 registering temperatures in the 50 - 60C range with an Alpha PAL 8045 heatsink and a Vantec Tornado 84 cfm CPU fan and Arctic Silver III.
I would expect CPU temperature to be at least 10C lower. At first I thought I had done something wrong in the installation of the heatsink, but after reading more than 10 times the instructions of both the heatsink and AS3, and disassembling my PC 3 times to check for anything unusual, I've come to the conclusion that maybe the problem is in the accuracy of the Asus A7V333 temperature readings.
Has anyone with an A7V333 motherboard had any similar problems with the accuracy of CPU temperature readings?
Thanks for your help.
