As a job for a friend I told him that I would replace his mobo (that was fried when lightening got his computer) with my current mobo (IWill KA-266R). I swapped the computer out of my system and replaced his. I then installed 256 MB PC21000 Crucial DDR, and an ATI graphics card. I proceeded to format his HDD and installed WIN 2K on the newly formatted NTFS Partition. Now everytime I boot the system locks when either A. a mouse is plugged it, it locks when the mouse cursor comes on the screen. or B. It locks with only the keyboard plugged it a the desktop to Win2k.

I have also tried to install XP with no luck.

I haven't yet switched the graphics card and RAM yet, but I will next and see if that is the problem.

Other than that any guesses? I loaded my Fail Safe bios options, I have tried almost everything. Please help!
