EPoX 8K3A & System speed

The EPoX 8K3A has an option in the BIOS to set up system performence to one of the following: Normal, fast, fastest, turbo. My problem is whenever I set it to anything above normal, once windows loads it freezes, and nothing responds at all, and i have to restart menually.
Please help, thank you.

what kinda specs do you have for your computer? have you loaded the latest via drivers?
