CS problem under win 98

Specs are :
p2 450mhz
bloddy SiS mobo
224 mb ram runnin at 100mhz
Inno3d tornado riva tnt2 32mb PCI(previously sis 6326 8mb intergrated)
windows 98(not se)

the problem is, i cant get it to run in opengl mode
but the few months ago it would run it perfectly......
does uninstalling utilities for my old Video card cause this error?
Pls help guys......

I don't know, but I've noticed some weirdness with CS too. OpenGL runs great, but D3D messes it up really badly. I don't really care as I prefer OpenGL anyways, but it's odd that D3D doesn't work at all.

yeah, d3d sucks in CS
and thats why i need to get opengl working again!

have you got the latest direct X and the latest drivers for your graphic-card?

i have direct x 8.1 and the 29.42 drivers....(tryed the 41.09 and it makes no difference)
as i said, its weird cuz i could get it to run perfectly the time before i unistalled my old videocards utilities

well what were the utilities that you uninstalled? one or some of them may have used the same files as cs, did it ask you if you wanted to remove shared files aswell, e.g. one utilitie may use a file that cs does and you may have removed it
