My new pc is TERRIBLY slow... my old tbird 1.2gig ran faster... it seems slow in 2k with just opening task manager.. as ppl have seen my 3dmark score is like 3900, in games even old ones like ever quest i go through lag spells of pc lag.. I installed the latest sound/chipset drivers directx, radeon drivers (6094) latest on ati's site.. my specs are as stated below, please help I cant figure this out.
Asus a7n266-c (nforce 415-d)
512MB pc-3000 cas2.0 (in slot 1, wondering if this board only works good with 2 sticks in slot 2-3 for the 128bit mem controller??)
Radeon 8500 retail 128MB DDR
Western Digital Special edition 100gig 8 meg cache
Nforce Audio
3com 10/100 Nic
Charter Cable modem
Altec Lansing 251 5.1 sound system
