I have a plain CUSL2 (ie not an M or C) I run Windows 2000 (SP2).

When I look in System I have a big Yellow ? on one of the devices. It describes it as unknown PCI Device.

Details:
1. PCI Bus 0 (Device 31, Function 3)
2. I/O Range E800 - E80F
3. IRQ 10

That just happens to correspond to one of the 3 Serial Bus Controllers that list on the boot screen. I have disabled both the serial ports and the parallel port in the Bios since I don't need them in this computer.

I have the latest Bios (1009). But can't get rid of this.

Any ideas why this is happening? It doesn't seem to effect the operation of the computer.

Thanks for any suggestions.

That was it. More specifically according to Mother Board CD that came with the system. Windows 2000 can't identify the Intel 815 Chipset itself, so they had a utility that patched all the drivers. Once I ran it, the problem went away.

Thanks
