In the beginning, our space was void, and AN dwelt alone in the void.
Now AN purposed to create life in the void, and taking it in hand, AN breathed into it and spake, commanding; "BE". And light sprang into being, wherefore there was none.
And AN brought into being the syrlai in their multitudes. In four spirits did AN create them, and these are the spirits did AN create:
The Ki'Syrlai, being spirits of fire.
The Ri'Syrlai, being spirits of air.
The Ti'Syrlai, being spirits of earth.
The Ni'Syrlai, being spirits of water.
And AN created them in uncounted multitudes.
Now AN gathered the Syrlai about him, saying "Hearken unto me. Behold this space, this universe, that once was void. I bequeath it unto thee. Go forth and create any and all that seemeth fair to thee, for I have provided thee with all thou shalt require. And nothing shall be barred to thee, save this; Any thing thou createst, shalt thou not uncreate. For the delight and purpose of this space is creation, and wilt not suffer thee to uncreate. All that thou createst shall stand to the end of it's appointed time, exalting thee or condemning thee, as may be."
"And in the fullness of time, shall there come into being a fifth spirit, which shall solely exist and have no kin. And this spirit shall have dominion over all, and shall reign in glory for all eternity."
"Now, go forth, and be fruitful, and take joy in this space I have given unto thee."
And the Syrlai went forth indeed, even unto the farthest reaches of AN's universe. And created they many wonders to behold, and knew joy. But ever did they wonder at the fifth spirit which was to follow them.
It came to pass that four of the Syrlai, each being of a different spirit, came to a place in AN's universe. And there decided to fashion a world as they deemed fit. And these were their names:
Lo'Ki'Syrlai, being a spirit of fire.
Ma'Ri'Syrlai, being a spirit of air.
Sham'Ti'Syrlai, being a spirit of earth.
Dor'Ni'Syrlai, being a spirit of water.
And they named themselves Ur'Syrlai.
And they took of what AN provided them and fashioned a place in space as of a sphere, and filled it with light and heat. And they were delighted, and named it AN'Tu, which is "Light of AN".
And they took of what AN provided them, and also of AN'Tu, and fashioned many spheres, ten in all, some of like fashion and some of unalike fashion. And they set them about AN'Tu, and these were their names:
Marlu, first about AN'Tu, hot and waterless and the abode of Lo'Ki'Syrlai.
Verisu, second about AN'Tu, Hot and fetid.
Eridu, third about AN'Tu, warm and gentle and with flowing waters.
Tarsu, fourth about AN'Tu, cold and airless and the abode of Sham'Ti'Syrlai.
Dorsanu, fifth about AN'Tu, covered with vast seas and the abode of Dor'Ni'Syrlai.
Lifuru, sixth about AN'Tu, gaseous and full of swirling colours.
Sifuru, seventh about AN'Tu, like unto Lifuru as it were a twin, and the abode of Ma'Ri'Syrlai.
Zophoru, eighth about AN'Tu, frigid and liquid.
Zaphoru, ninth about AN'Tu, like unto Nophoru as it were a twin.
Niburu, tenth about AN'Tu, frigid and remote, and the meeting-place of the Ur'Syrlai.
After the Ur'Syrlai created the spheres, they came together on Niburu and rested, and considered their handiwork. And they took delight in their creations, and purposed to create life to inhabit them. And of the spheres, they deemed Eridu and Dorsanu most suitable to imbue with the blessing of life.
Wherefore they created all manner of life, mighty trees and all things that flower and bear fruit, fishes to inhabit the deeps of the oceans, birds and all manner of flying things to rejoice in the skies, and untold animals to multiply on the fertile ground.
On both Eridu and Dorsanu did they create life, but on Dorsanu only did they choose to create intelligent life, capable of converse with them, and to whom they could entrust with all knowledge and manner of lore. And they created them male and female, for in that way could they be fruitful and reproduce, and named them Mar'Ur'Syrlai, which means chosen of Ur'Syrlai.
And they gathered then the Mar'Ur'Syrlai, and spake unto them; "Behold Dorsanu, which we have created and populated with allmanner of life. Take it therefore to hold, and do with as thou wilt. Go forth and multiply and rejoice in life."
"Know now, we shall always be with thee, to aid thee and instruct thee in whatsoever thou mayest desire to learn."
And the Mar'Ur'Syrlai were given the power to manipulate Dorsanu howsoever they would wish, but the power to create was not given unto them, being reserved solely for the Ur'Syrlai.
And the Mar'Ur'Syrlai went forth in the land, and rejoiced.
Now the Mar'Ur'Syrlai went forth and dwelt in all the lands of Dorsanu, save the land of Vale. For there dwelt the Ur'Syrlai, who their mentors in all things.
And the Mar'Ur'Syrlai learnt of the ways of animals, and plants, and all things under the sky and the deeps of the sea. And they learnt to protect themselves from the ravages of weather and beasts, and were given knowledge of fire to hold back the night. And it came to pass they were they given the knowledge to shape their world by will alone, and required no tools save their own intelligence and skill.
Now the Mar'Ur'Syrlai built for themselves keeps within walls of living wood and stone, and devised art and music, as seemed fair to them. And they rejoiced, and the Ur'Syrlai rejoiced with them. An art of letters they devised, and all keeps throughout the length and breadth of Dorsanu were joined as one, and there was much traffic between.
Now the Mar'Ur'Syrlai were ever curious as to the nature of the world about them, for so they were made, and took delight in the discovery and fashioning of new things. And the hills they delved, uncovering rare gems and metals, and these they shared freely amongst all, for there was neither jealousy nor envy between them. The valleys and highest mountain peaks they explored, and the deeps of the sea, and rejoiced in the diversity and wonder of Dorsanu.
Well, I'm only in the VERY early stages of development. It's going to be a 3D RPG (I'm going for a sort of FF-ish style). If anyone has any musical composing skills, I sure could use some help with that!
