Not sure if this is a mainboard problem, but heres the situation: I just bought this computer from a local shop recommended to me by a friend, who bought a system there just a bit ago and is perfectly happy with his. The system i bought has problems running software - Applications freeze, or shut down unexpectedly (Starcraft, 3dmark2001 are two prime examples)... Also, Internet Explorer quits during normal navigating, (not while using java/flash/etc) and gives me the Microsoft error report message "Send or dont send report"... Lastly, the computer randomly reboots itself. Now, Ive had it back in the shop a couple times, and talked to them about it. They attribute it to "software compatability issues with the hardware," which i translate to "we dont know how to fix it, its your fault, you deal with it"......Heres the specs, Iim wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what they can recommend to diagnose and solve it. Ive been reading reviews from various places of the mainboard that are mixed - could the mainboard be causing these problems?
Specs:
MSI KT3 Ultra Mainboard, Athalon 2100+, 1gig PC333 Ram, Ti4600, OEM Audigy, 80 gig HD, running on XP.

Thanks for your help!

That problem could be a lot of reasons.... so a couple of questions:

What power supply do you have?
What brand of memory do you have?
What memory settings are you using?

Unfortunately, i couldnt tell ya because i havent actually cracked open the system. What are the red flags with those components? The shop claimed to be using a higher quality power supply for various reasons...didnt specify memory type or settings - where can i find these out?

let me figure out your problem: you paid for that system and now it’s not working? or you just bought the parts for separate and then you assembled them?

If you paid for the all system they HAVE to repair the PC.

If you paid for the parts for separate they HAVE to tell you what they sold to you. Also, if they sold you the PC already assembled the HAVE to provide a list with all the details about the hardware.
