I just got an XP2000+ on this board, and I need advice on altering clockspeeds. At first my system was running too hot (cheapo heatsink), so I figured I'd underclock until my new heatsink gets here. No dice- system will not do anything on powerup. Nada, nothing, zilch. Ok, got the new heatsink, works great, but then same result with overclocking- pumping the FSB up to 140 and keeping multiplier at 12.5--- nothing happens, have to clear BIOS again. No matter what 'user defined' settings I choose, it always freaks out and does nothing on powerup unless im right at 133/12.5. Anyone else have better luck OCing this board and have tips for me? Crucial 2700 BTW

Pump up its Vcore voltage (might as well as its I/O's) to 1.85V and 3.65V respectively.

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

I doubt the problem is the board. The Abit KX7-333 is generally considered
one of the better overclockers. My KX7-333R mated with an XP1600+ overclocked
very well. I was able to run the FSB upto 155 without unlocking the CPU.
The limit of 155 was not the board, but above 155, my HD data would become
corrupted.

Crucial memory is known for being a good Over clocker. I know that XP2000+
do not over clock as well as an XP1600+, but should expect better then 133 FSB.

Abit KX7-333R, Abit Siluro Ti4400, XP1800+, 512MB Crucial DDR2100, WD 120 GB HD, Santa Cruz.
