How do I send an email to newsgroups without disclosing my email address? I
would prefer to use anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com but do not know how.

Thanks in advance.

As you are using Outlook Express click Tools> Accounts on the menu bar of
the main program window. (not this message window) Click once on the account
in question to highlight and click Properties. On the General tab edit the
information to show what you want it to.

Follow this process to set up an email. But you don’t have to put in
a "real" email which can be "harvested" by spammers.

Instead do one of these:

a) add some words to your email address, eg.
mynameDeleteThisHere@mydomain.com so a live person can figure it out,
but not a robot

or

b) Put your email (still encrypted in similar way) in the body.

Your email is required in some form only if you want to be contacted
directly. Otherwise you can always just read the responses.
