I have an option in BIOS to set certain hardware (harddrives, LAN, modem and CD-drives) to use the Embedded bus instead of the PCI bus. What does this embedded bus do compared to the PCI bus? Will I lower performance if I use all my hardware on one bus, either the embedded or PCI, instead of using both?
