Ohhhh, I'll never buy asus board again It's so xxxx xxxx!
Look what I found with google the text is translated from german:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Asus A7V333 could not convince us however in all points. For reasons, which are personally completely incomprehensible to me, Asus has still problems with the S3 (Suspend ton RAM) mode. This Standby mode is the none, which really makes sense, because all data in the memory is held here and only this also further with river supplied. The power pack as well as all exhausts are switched off! Unfortunately Suspend ton RAM exists with the Asus A7V333 only once only in the manual, in the BIOS is missing the option. Only if one changes the Main board over from the Jumper Free mode (Jumper JEN) to the configuration by DIP switches, one receives also the S3-Modus. That has however a crucial disadvantage: by DIP switch can adjust the Frontsidebus of the system, but the multiplicator remains then unchanged. Who intends to raise the CCU by multiplicator to over clocks or the Frontsidebus on 166 MHz looks with the S3-Modus into the tube. Harm.
If one does without any over clocking and if the DIP switches adjust by hand, then the S3-Modus without problems functions. Asus describes this pedantic proceeding - S3 gives it only beyond the default values - on an update note to the manual, which is unfortunately not yet contained in all packings.
Still another strange thing: after we had activated S3 and afterwards again into jumperless the mode changed, the computer from the normal Suspend mode did not wake up.
