Hi,

I own an Abit KT7 (not the KT7A) and would like to upgrade my current CPU which is a Duron 750.

The best current available choice seems to be an Athlon T-BIRD 1333 MHz / FSB 266.
Will my motherboard accept it ?
I already know I won't be able to run the Bus at 266 Mhz, but will it run at 200 Mhz ?
Also, what's the highest frequency that I'm supposed to reach ? 10x133 or less ?

Would a Duron Morgan 1.2 or 1.3 Ghz be a possible and better choice ?

Thank you for your help.

The best you can do is an Athlon B, 1400 Mhz, 14 * 100 and it has to be locked so that the default multiplier will be used. If you unlock it you can only select 12.5 * 100. (Actually this is interpretted as 13 * 100 but you loose 14 * 100 when the CPU is unlocked).
