I play DF1 on a 233 mhz panasonic CF27 in work, runs ok & far more enjoyable
than DFX, our whole team got DFX & we played it for 2 days :-( now were
back on BHD & Joint Ops,

Well I like it it, but we have found it needs 1gb of mem on at least a
GF5700 to run well, but BHD is more enjoyable,

Ive got a xp-2000 with 1gb of corsair and a GeForce 6600. I used to play
LW all the time online till the cheating got rampant. Went to BHD and
played alot more online. BHD and LW were worth the time and money so I
thought Id get a used copy of TFD off of Ebay and try that. Paid $10 and
it still wasnt worth it. So I upgraded to TS for the online games.
Another mistake. Then I got DFX. Wrong move again. If Novalogic would
mix BHD's weapons and maps and character specialties with DFX's control
of vehicles, they might get a decent game. Im about done buying anything
from Nova.

Zero, that would explain why we haven't seen you. A bunch of us have been
playing DFX Mod .7 on a nightly basis. The regular DFX did nothing for us,
but the Mod .7 kicks butt. It definitely has the old DF1 flavor we all
enjoyed.

The game works great on my 1.73 using the TI 4200 video card. I have 768 mb
of RAM. I have had this system for over 4 1/2 years and have not come
across a game that won't play. One of these days I will upgrade the entire
system, but why fix what isn't broke yet:)

I think you've just posted one of the most typed lines in the history of
this newsgroup... If you think I'm joking, then feel free to look it up.
Nologic can ruin any game if given the chance. I think they should scale
things back a little and stick to single player games. At least then we
won't be temped to buy it!

I should have learned my leason earlier. Ive had alot of Novalogic
games. F-16, Mig-29, two F-22 games, and all the DF series. I liked the
demo version of DFX so bought the full version. Should have played the
demo a little longer.

eh, I bought mine just days before the big 1GHz breakthrough. No big deal.
I went through that whole why fix what ain't broke thing for a long time
myself. Now that I can't play new games anymore, I've decided to separate
and don't want to sink cash into a new box just to play more games I can't
afford. As long as this thing will allow for me to look for a job I can't
really justify the purchase of a new one.

I have upgraded my MB/PSU twice and I think the only original thing left is
the case and the CDROM.
check around new Motherboard, PSU, ram, and maybe a middle of the road
videocard shouldn't be too much A guy at work did mine and he gets his

Got it. Now how do I go about intalling it? And Im guessing it wont work
on a Nova server.

make a copy of you DFX folder and install the .07 mod there
