I'll admit it, I am a total Battletech geek. The thought of customizable walking robots of death and destruction in an extremely well fleshed out universe with lots of interesting factions and personalities really gets me excited.

When Microsoft bought up the Battletech liscence from FASA, I was worried at first, but Mech Commander 2 and then Mechwarrior 4 reassured me that the franchise was still going strong. Then we had an expansion to MW4, 2 mech packs, and a sequel (Mercenaries), that was years ago. We have had NOTHING since then.

Has anyone heard ANYTHING about Battletech/Mechwarrior on the PC? Anything at all? Please?

There was a point in time just before mw4, i remembered a bunch of different games with mechs, but alas, they seem to be gone.

Battlefield 2142 walkers are similar to the mechs, but just not the same, jetpacks on!

I loved mechwarrior 3, too bad the invisible bug ruined multiplay, wonder if they ever fixed that..

I am also anxiously awaiting the next mechwarrior game. however last i heard they were not planning any more new mech games for the pc.
