Vanguard Beta - What I've seen

I played for a few hours last night and plan to play alot more.

This game has some potential. It has alot of the same features as WoW, just not near as cartoony. If you like WoW and lots of sweet-looking eyecandy, I think you'll love it. The gameplay is pretty smooth. Quests are done the same as in WoW. I found the diplomacy thing a little confusing. I'm not a high enough level to experience mounts yet. Unfortunitely, there isn't a crafter-type trainer in the area I'm in to test. You train abilities the same way. The mail system is also the same as Wow. Chat is pretty much the same.

Some of the things that I don't like. If you plan to install this game,be prepared to spend 8 hours or so to patch this game. Right now, my total gigs used is over 16. The box is recommending 20 gigs. That will probably be about right when its officially live. When I completed a quest, there was no notification on how much xp or money I received. There is not really a clear message on what some of the armor/clothing does. This may just be me on that. The minimap was kinda useless for me. This is what I've ran into in the few hours I played. Items such as server crashes, lag, graphic clitches, etc.....It is still in Beta.
