There is nothing for windows.

Why not ask for permission to use the network instead.

Thanks for your e-mail.

I am setting up a company to provide Wi Fi enabled businesses with some
better security than WEP.

I was going to use this software to demonstrate to companies that there
current encryption was NOT secure. It looks like I will have to put Linux on
my laptop for the demo.

Thanks

Simon

Depending on how much traffic there is on the network... your demo could
last for a couple hours or more!

I have read that some of the latest units with WEP do not use the type 4
frames used to crack security. so essentially they have removed the risk of
these WEP implementations.

If you search Google enough you will find that there is some Windows
cracking software but you apparently have to patch drivers to make it work.

A couple of years ago, I found some Linux under Windows software. You might
consider looking for that.

Sounds reasonable:
http://airsnort.shmoo.com/windows.html
The problem is that I couldn't make it work when I tried it. All it
die was belch garbage. It's also a pain to install all the necessary
parts and pieces. Y'er on your own.

I just discovered that Airsnort will work under Cygwin.

I haven't tried it but that looks like the best bet for your demo.

You might also try WepCrack, which is written in Perl. Install
ActiveState Perl and give it a try. (I haven't tried it).

I've done some WEP cracking just to see how it goes. You need at
least 500MBytes of traffic to get anything useable. The exact time
varies with the complexity of the original key. A trivial key will be
easily decoded. A complex mess of Hex garbage can easily take several
days of sniffing and crunching. It also requires "interesting
packets" which basically means lots of big packets.
