The title of AS45 is "Shuttle First to Market with AGP8X, DDR400, and SerialATA"

Shuttle is first to have sis648 chipset.

on description of it it says "DDR333"
"Three DDR DIMM supports up to 3 GB PC1600/PC2100/PC2700"

I didnt get it.... where did ddr400 support go? or is it still ahead?

Also Q, does anyone know when it will be for sale?

Thx for any comments on that.

I'm confused as well. From what I have read in dozens of forums and articles.... DDR400 support is unofficial and will remain that way. The SiS648DX is scheduled to have official support. What does this mean? I don't know. All I know is that 'everyone' is testing this chipset with DDR400 speed memory, and no one is reporting any problems with it. So if you run with overclocked DDR333 or true DDR400, it should work. Maybe.

I'm waiting for the reviews, but this is my chipset of choice of the moment.
