Hi

I've got a problem with my newly purchased motherboard.
It's a Soltek sl-75drv5 KT333 with a AMD 1800 + and a 333Mhz DDR RAM Dimm.

When I try to start the system the Powerled starts blinking and so does the cd rom player, and the DDR Dimm socket led.

Please.... help

Try reseating the video card and ddram. The ddram should go in with a nice "click" noise when the holding clamps lock it in. If that doesn't work, try removing the board, and placing it on the static bag it came in, and using just the cpu/heatsink, 1 stick of ddram, and video card, see if it will post.

I've tried all of the above. Powerled starts blinking, the cd rom and the memory led. I've tried an other graphic card, tried running the system with only cpu(heatsink), one 256 ddr dimm and several graphic cards.

Nothing seems to work...... can the cpu be faulty or perhaps the memory dimm ??

Thank you for your answers.....

I've found the problem. It was a faulty cpu-fan(heatsink.
Since it "communicated" wrongly with the FAN1 socket the mainboard wouldn't let the processor start.

Blinking powerleds an others leds can indicate something with processor malfunction (cpu itself, FAN, FSB settings etc)

Thanks Again.
