harhar - thats a good one

If you remove the CPU it won't post even if you have a million watt PS!

Bare bones minimum would be: CPU, One stick of RAM and video card. But it still might be too weak for even those componenets.

bummer that the PS didn't fix it. Next thing I would try would be to swap in different RAM (hopefully you can just borrow a stick from someone). What sort are you currently using?

Does the problem only occur when you are online ?

i use 2 of "Original 256Mb DDR PC2100 184pin 266MHz cas2.5"
i have tested them in singel, once at the time... same problem.

i dont need to be online.... its enought to start the demo in 3dmark2k1se after awhile it stops.

what settings do you have in the BIOS? Are you overclocking the RAM? (e.g. are they perhaps set to CAS 2)? Also, what brand of RAM?

it is kingston.
no overclocking here.... yet... i want it to run more then good first. it is set by speed and cas is 2,5 in bios.

try taking out a DIMM. If it still crashes swap DIMM's and see if it still crashes.

Memory could be bad.

according to this you have a PS: 430W PSU? so i doubt it's your power supply. Probably memory. Also why did you lie and say you had a 250watt PS or lie about how you have a 430watt PS?

Ok, man:
First: What's your sound card? Pull it out. Or have you got an integrated one? Disable it! Then test the PC again. If it's OK, then: 1)the sound drivers, or their installation, might be incorrect; 2)the sound card might be deffective; 3) the BIOS settings might be wrong (the IRQs, the settings for integrated sound, and so on.
Second: How are your drives connected? Put your first HHD to IDE1 - Master. PUt the CD to IDE2 - Master. Is it OK? If not, log off the CD and try again. If there are problems again, change the HDD with your second one.
Enable DMA-setting.
This have to be a marvelous mobo, and let's hope it's not damaged.
