I have bought a Soltek SL75DRV5 and a AMD 1800+ and 1GB Samsung 333Mhz resently. I unlocked the processor and started it at 12.5x so that it would run like a 2000+, and it worked fine for about 10min then it went down and rebooted. So i started sisoft sandra to check things out. Sisoft told me that the motherboard temp was 68degrees Celsius (thats about 150+ degrees Fahrenheit) and rising! I thought "[-peep-]!!!!!" and turned of the power. Rebooted it in standard mode (1800+) but the motherboard was still HOT 58 degrees Celsius. My last motherboard held a temp on about 26.3 Celsius, it was a Abit Kg7 with a 1200 thunderbird running on 1330 Mhz. So my question is this: How come my new board is so hot? Is it broken or what?

Hmm I have found the problem. When my scsi adapter starts up the Northbrige fan goes down.... So the answer is MORE POWER!
