CMOS HELP! 694D

I've got a MSI 694D Pro AIR mainboard and everything was cool until the CMOS battery suddenly died and all the defaults loaded. Then when i load windows, it just hangs after the black loading screen. i had this problem long ago when i first purchased an ATI Radeon 8500. A guy fixed it by changing some of my BIOS settings, but now he can't remember what he did and he can't fix it. Does anyone know what may cause this problem? Please Please Help!!! Thanks so much!

Best I can figure is to make sure the BIOS is updated and to set everything back to where you had it. Also, if you removed any components besides adding a new battery make sure they're inserted correctly and well sat in their respective slots/sockets.
