For WLAN Professionals:

I've got a Acer Travelmate 292LCi with a Intel 2200BG WLAN Mini PCI
card included. But this device supports only the WLAN channels 1 to
11.

I live in europe, where the cannels 1-13 be used. The most common
channels are 1, 7 and 13. So this card cannot be used with 1/3rd of
the european access points.

Intel sales two different versions of this card - one with the
addition MOW, the other with ROW. Does it mean Main of World and Rest
of Wold? :-)

The MOW is restriced to channel 1-11, the ROW device allowes 1-14.

Does anyone know, whats the difference between this two versions and
how to make a MOW a ROW? Is there a firmware or a hardware change i
have to do?

Thanks,
Stefan Heinz
