Call of Duty 2 takes a long time loading

About a month ago I got a new SATA drive and I recently installed Call of Duty 2 on it. It runs just fine and exactly the same way when I had it on my old IDE drive. However whenever i wake my computer from hibernation or turn it on for the first time it takes anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes before i get to the menu. However it runs up perfectly fine every after time afterwards. I'm wondering what could be the cause of this because its really annoying when I want to finish a level before I have to go to class.

My system specs are
2.4 GHz AMD Athlon 64 3800+ AM2
Abit KN9S
EVGA GeForce 7600 GT
1026 MB corsair memory (single-channel)
Audigy 2 ZS
Windows XP home w/SP2

I wouldn't do Hibernation. It might be great in theory, but it takes longer to come out of hibernation as it does to just cold-starting the PC. Nix the hibernation and standby modes - IMHO, of course.
