SM 3.0 Limitation

i have an ATi x850 xt (which is a SM 2.0 card), and I recently purchased Splinter Cell Double Agent. I am very angy that I can't play it because it says that my card is unable because it is not shader model 3 compliant.

is there any way that i can disable all SM 3.0 features in the game so that I can play it on my current hardware?

Yeah this game got some pretty crap reviews too. I think PCGamer gave it like a 68% or something. I think the reason is because the game was developed by a different team than the previous ones. I believe the previous games were developed by Ubisoft Canada and this one was by the Korean team or something like that i am not 100% sure.

Anyways i tried the demo and it was completely FUBAR on my 8800GTX and then i read the forums that it does not work with the 8800 so i never bothered with this game anymore. Sorry for your loss mate i wish you would have read the game minimum req. specs before you bought it.
