this is my rig also known as ... my specs for my computer

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Hard Drive: 164 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 128mb
Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor
Sound Card: Realtek AC97 Audio

shouldnt these specs be able to push at least medium on battlefield 2? I'm on low settings... no more then that... and i cant figure out why. I know other people that have Geforce 6600 cards and are playing at medium settings.... So if you can help me out that would be awsome

Your RAM is a little low. (Battlefield has always has always been a RAM hog.) Aside from that I don't know what would be causing your problems. Maybe onboard sound, but you'd think that would be offset by the dual core processor.

What resolution? Some more RAM will do good, I play alot of BF2 (Master Sargeant) and 2142 (Brigadier General). More RAM is always good for BF2, I have a 7800 GS OC and I run with medium setting 1280x960 with lighting settings on low (on medium that really bogs me down) and only 2xAA (prob can do 4, but I want smoother FPS, ladder games...) 1.5 gigs of ram.
