TwitchGuru takes a look at Fanatac's Headshot Controller gaming mouse and mouse pad, which claims to be the ultimate weapon for PC gamers. We put the Headshot's innovative design and customizable features to the test.
Ah those silly Germans. Make a mouse tailored to FPSs while their country is banning the games.
Imaginative design. I'd love to try it. I'd probably enjoy those finger-support extensions and increased control in games, but there is no room for a pad that large, horizontally or vertically, with all the equipment clutter I've got, to say nothing of the cost.
I did have one slightly off-topic question though regarding mice: Have you ever had a problem with button senstivity? To explain myself, the weight of my fingers, coupled with the grip necessary to move a mouse, is frequently enough to click the right mouse button. I don't know if it's because I'm over-weight or because I might be resting two fingers on the button. :? It's a problem that seems to plague me with every mouse I use, and only with the right mouse button. Am I alone in this? If not, and you've experienced it yourself, does this type of design prevent that?
I'm interested in how this mouse compares with another gaming mouse, maybe the Logitech G5/G7 (which costs a lot less). Comparing the headshot to a cheap, everyday mouse doesnt make for a good review.
id still take my G7 over that any day. what sthe point of 4kdpi if your using an optical diode any way? plus, the sexiness of my g7 passes that thing. Its personal preference, but i liek wireless better than wired mice, adn i have yet to have a disconnect or lag problem.
Nope never had a problem with fat fingers, maybe you should start doing some hand workouts. But in all honesty I think it is more a case of your technique with a mouse is not as it should be, as my fingers give no more pressure when moving in all directions than they do when my hand is still.
I use a Logitech MX300 because it has absolutely perfect sensitivity, perfect shape, and perfect lack of buttons (but includes a scroll wheel) down to the only two I need. It never skips on me.
The best player I've ever met uses a mouse that's even lower end than mine. I scoff at high sensitivity mice. Once you break through the responsiveness barrier (or skipping) there's no difference beyond what the player himself can do with it. The professionals prove it - you can do more with low sensitivity from the human body.
