I'm looking at both of those mobos too. The Gigabyte has more features, but the EPoX seems to overclock better and has more RAM dividers. Really depends on what you want to do. SiS chipsets are great at stock speeds, but the Intel mobos seem to have better overclocking features.

You said the intel mobos have better overclocking features. Does the SiS chipset still have good oc'ing features? Let's say I get an Asus or Soyo mobo with the SiS 648 chipset, will i be able to oc a 2.4b to 3GHz with no problem?

SiS chipsets are outperforming Intel's and have more overclocking features, such as more memory ratios.

I would go with sis also. My 1.8a wouldn't overclock but 10-13% with a via board or abit bd7 with intel 845 chipset. But the asus p4s533 (sis 645dx) had no problems with this cpu running at 133 fsb.

The only thing is, if you run the FSB at say.. 166MHz, then the PCI/AGP could be kinda out of spec right? I don't know much about the SiS645DX ratios, but I know with some 845D/E/G mobos, you can lock the PCI/AGP bus speeds. Also, if you get a 845G mobo, you'll usually get the 4:5 ratio, although not the 4:6 in the SiS645DX.
