the specs:
In-Win 300W case
Abit KX7-333 Motherboard
Athlon 1900 XP
512MB Mushkin PC2700 (Also have and tried 512MB Samsung PC2100)
100Gig WD7200 RPM HD
32MB Radeon VIVO Card
Etc, etc
Here's the problem:
The system runs if I leave the processor at 1200mhz (the default when you reset the CMOS), but it gives an "unworkable cpu, press f1 to continue" message. if i press f1, i can install windows and run everyhing fine.. internet, burn cds, watch dvds, etc.. not a problem. but whenever you reboot you get the unworkable cpu, press f1 message, and the processor is still set at 1200.
if i increase it to 1900 (what it should, or 1800 for that matter, of even try 2000), the system hangs, and i have to reset the CMOS.
I flashed the BIOS with the most recent revision (there's only been one)
So i think it's either a power supply problem (i dont think it's too likely though, because there's not a ton of things in here, and i've tried booting with as little devices as possible), somethin with the mobo, the cpu, or the memory
