help needed for wireless setup

i have sympatico dsl in aylmer quebec
also i am using a dlink wireless router model DI-514
and 2- smc wireless card adapters a-smc2635w 2.4ghz
and a wireless adapter smc2662w
the router is placed in the back of the house where the bell service comes
in
the first wireless card is about 15' away in a room the other wireless
card is 25' away
i am having problems the cards are loseing connection
drop outs i have tryed the following settings

router: ssid =(name) channel 1-6-9-11 internet connection = dynamic ip
address

smc card #1
select profile (name ) ssid =(name) channel 1-6-8-10
transmitt rate(auto) operating mode ( infrastructure ) and adhoc

smc card 2 about the same setings

if i connect direct to the dsl modem it works fine
so it not sympatico that droping out

any help

You could put a reflector on the router, to direct the signal toward the
house. http://www.freeantennas.com I use the EZ-10.
