The fastest and most reliable chipset for PIV now is Intel 850e.

Is KT-400 for AMD processors or i'm wrong?!
If you wanna a Intel system, 850e is better but if you are smart, and don't want to spend your money for nothing, then you must to build a AMD system, and there KT400 is better.

Absolutely right.
These days THG published some interesting thing about the newer chipsets.
As you stated, right now kt400 is maybe the fastest K7 chipset. However, I think there's a great chance nForce2 to change this picture, but I'm not sure.
Regarding PIV's chipsets, I always say that the fastest and the most stable chipset is also made by Intel. Via evaluated a PIV chipset with DDR-400 support (isn't this chipset illegal too???), but it still can't outperform 850E.
Of course, prices of 850E-based mobos with RDRAM are... but who cares???
