1. If you delete something off your computer, then format the computer and install off a ghosted image, can you find out the date those orginal files were deleted before the format?
2. If you copy stuff from a hard drive to disk, can someone find out the date you did that?

1. yes but only with specialist data recovery software. if you want something gone for good then use a utility like Norton Wipeinfo or PGP Wipe i think the latter removes all references to the file from the os. if you are using NTFS then you will have even more problems. look <A HREF="http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/55/23759.html" target="_new"> here</A>.
2. yes. just right clicking the files icon and selecting properties will reveal this info, i did have a utility that allows you to alter this info but can't find it and have no idea what it was called.
Although it has a lot of good ideas, beer doesn't know anything about computers!!!
