P4S533 Problems

Hi everyone,

For my first post here I will ask for some help,
I have an Asus P4S533 with audio and lan onboard. Since I have upgraded my bios from 1007 to 1008, the option Onboard PCI Audio disapeared magically. Moreover, Windows seems unable to detect it since then. So to summarize, I have no damn sound!

Have you tried reflashing to the 1007 BIOS? Did you save your old BIOS? Did you make sure you got the right BIOS version, you did know that there are two versions for each revision?

After you flashed the BIOS, did you go in and reset your BIOS defaults? It may be that the on-board audio option in the new BIOS is simply turned off. Check that...
