Keep in mind that crysis is a DX10 game and u WILL need vista to play it and the only DX10 card out there right now is the Nvidia 8800. /

Minimum Requirements
CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6600/X800GTO (SM 2.0)
RAM: 768Mb/1Gb on Windows Vista
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP
I only play games if i can run it on recommended and i dont think im gonna buy windows vista which is $300 plus a $500 video card to run dx10 in canadian money.
In that case i don't think you will be buying too many games in the coming years because the game requirements are going to be higher not lower as game developers are pushing the envelope of technology.
By the way the only reason to go Vista is DX10 and as far as i know games like Crysis and many other DX10 titles will work just as well in XP.
Oh well thats cool then. I might buy crysis but in teyh vids i think they might have the physics a lil messed up i mean throwing humans a mile away and kicking cars into orbit doesnt sound right.
But anyways i buy one game and hope its good for about 2-3 years then i upgrade so i will be playing plenty of games dont worry about that.
So if i dont have DX10 does that mean it will run slower or the graphics will take a little impact. Im thinking it might just run slower but what do u think?
ALL hail crysis. BTW what ever happened to allen wake ?
good question... i think it got pushed to 2008.. not sure though...
Or maybe it got pushed to the garbage can after they saw what Crysis looks like 8)
if u say that im sure u havent seen any alan wake gameplay
I did see some game play, but to be honest to me it looks like Max Payne with prettier graphics. Can't even come close to Crysis. Although i might be completely wrong here but what i have seen so far from the game that is the impression i got.
Umm... Crysis is awesome and all, but CELLFACTOR is not on this list and I am greatly disappionted. With the price of physx hardware decreasing (~$150, now on newegg.com) this will be a great addition to anyone and their next-gen computer!
physx is all hype ffs.. when do people get it.. -_- cpu's gonna take over. and cellfactor is pathetic, they try to convince people that they need physx for their game and u do not.
Well then sound cards are useless too! When a computer has four cores it doesnt need those extra cards, but only if it ultilyzes each core for a different aspect. quad-core QX6700 - $978 vs physx - $150
I think it will be well worth it for a physx card

Unless you have never heard of DirectX10 the DX10 video cards will be handling the Phisyx calculations with DX10 in Vista. So if you have an 88XX video card your physix card is completely useless.
Aegia cards were useless anyways in my opinion. There wasn't any titles that i would get that card for. It is like the Killer NIC network cards waste of money.
Yeah, I'm not sure that C&C3 is "Next Generation". I believe it uses a tweaked out version of the Battle for Middle-Earth II engine (which may be a tweaked out version of the Battle for Middle-Earth I engine). I voted for C&C3 anyway, though since it's supposed to hit soon.
From what little I've played of Crysis, it might be the best thing ever (like, even better than the wheel or the Chop Wizard). HOWEVER, many many games look and feel very good in small doses. Wait and see how it holds up to hours on end. I hope it's as good as everyone wants it to be.
