Thanks to some of the posts on this forum in the archive, I discovered that the 3 1500uf 6.3v capacitors near the CPU on my ABIT BF6 mobo have gone bad. The unpredictable boot up of my machine had been driving me crazy. So now the important question, does anyone out there know where to get the replacement capacitors? Radio Shack does not have any with the correct specs. How close to the original spec do I have to get? For example, if I can get 2200uf 6.3v will they work? What if the voltage is higher than 6.3v? Appreciate any and all advice.

One of the problems with the capacitors used is that they were not made with adequate durability. Here is a more adequate unit which I use, they are a bit larger and need the tails bent slightly to fit your board. WARNING shipping is expensive, but if you order a 10 pack, I'll buy the spares off you for my portion of the cost.

Thanks Crashman. Prior to ordering from them I will check some of my other more local options. If I do order from Mouser, I'll let you know.

OK. I could always get them from Mouser and sell a few to you...
