how and when did all of you come across Tom's Hardware Guide?
another question...when and why did all of you decide to join Tom's Hardware Guide Community?

as for myself...i came across Tom's Hardware Guide on about sept. of 01'...when my teacher from my A+ certification prep course introduced the class (that i was in) to Tom's Hardware Guide.
my teacher showed us the video on what happens when you remove the hsf from the cpu.

the reason i joined Tom's Hardware Guide Community:
about a month after i started reading Tom's Hardware Guide....i joined the community because i had trouble deciding between a gf3 ti200 and the R8500...many of you know which card i decided to get

I did know THG for a long time when I signed in, I wanted some help with my OC project, and I wanted to learn more about hardware.

It's not a bug, it's a feature
THGC: before: :frown:  , after:

I'm sorry, that information is classified.

classified as in you cant tell me...
or classified as in if you tell me...you'll have to send a virus into my computer (penetrating my firewall btw), which erases all existence of me and my computer to the known cyberspace?
am i close?

Either I don't tell you, or I tell you and then I have to kill you.
Take your pick.

I came across THG when they had the pentium overclocking guide and where everyone posted if their overclock was sucessful at what speed or if they had a rare locked pentium.

After that I visited THG rarely until i had to get my brother a new system and boy was i ever surprised at what there was. I then joined THGC and come back here more often but not as much as some of you guys.

 :frown:        - What do you want to feel today? :)

it's classified, because burger found thg by accident. he was told by a friend to check out a site he might like: tomshardone.com. somehow he misinterpreted the name and came here.

I run duals because i multitask between notepad, outlook express and winamp

Decided to build my first system, thought "I need more knowledge". Started sifting through search engines for various things, and THG popped up quite a few times.

Joined to ask specifics, and its just gone on from there.
