YOU CAN find a different internet access point, download opera.
I don't think the Wii internet (opera) works unless the it gets a signal. 
Wii uses wireless G and B

I've also had trouble getting WPA2 working and I am currently using just WPA
you can purchase a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector and connect to a USB port on a PC and log on the PC's internet connection and then access internet on the Wii
