I am at a recreational center, which is one of two, on Fort Gordon where there is internet. Unfortunately, I have to login to use it via a web page. The Wii seem to need a direct connection to the Internet to use the shop channel, where I can get the Opera browser. Is there any way to install Opera via memory card or other means so I can login on the wireless?

I don't think so,
YOU CAN find a different internet access point, download opera.
I don't think the Wii internet (opera) works unless the it gets a signal. :(

Wii uses wireless G and B
NOT N

I've also had trouble getting WPA2 working and I am currently using just WPA

you can purchase a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector and connect to a USB port on a PC and log on the PC's internet connection and then access internet on the Wii
