Hi! It was first time I got a laptop. It is gateway 9550 with 15' XGA which is a bit too bright and I see no option ]
i-n bios/windows to solve this matter.
I noticed also that one particular piece at the edge of the lcd is "shaking" (like falling tap of water, don't know how to explain it in english :( )while moving it. Is it likely to become a dead pixel or something?

Brightness is usually controlled with a function key. Such as holding the key labeled Fn and hitting a corresponding key that will lower/raise the brightness. Look for the standard brightness symbol on one or two keys.
I have seen something similar to your screen shaking on a dell laptop. It is usually caused by a loose or faulty connection between the screen and computer. It is usually not user serviceable, you will have to send it in or have a gateway tech come out to repair it.

I forgot I got manual, I'll look for it there, it must be something with this fn key
And is this place on the screen gonna get worse? I'm asking because now it's hardly noticable ;]

On the dell it got worse but if you don't tweak the case/screen to much or drop the comp it shouldn't get worse. That dell was abused a little so I wasn't to surprised it happened/got worse.
