I suspect the standard of living in Australia, Canada, United States and other industrialized nations to be similar.
For example we take a McDonalds french fry employee.
In the United States that employee makes $6/hour, in Canada $8/hour.
What would that person make if they lived in Australia?

The problem we have is we measure the cost of service by our own income not the income we would have if we lived where the service was provided.

I think that makes sense?.?.

Isn't minimum wage over $6 now? Last I checked, you made $9+ working at burger king.

think its 8-10 in australia for minimum wage, which actually sucks when u compare it too canada or the states taking into account the exchange rate.

ahh well, they are just disposable fodder in the machine of capitallism.

HOME TIME! yipee!!!

Why would I check?
I was going to use my personal income and career as reference but I didn't want to post that information.

On a side bar note. I hate the word career. I think it's feminine.

In Ontario minimum wage is $6.85/hour.
It isn't that great. It hasn't been bumped up for several years.
