I'm looking for a little tool that will enable me to limit the FPS of NFS3 to let's say 50 or so. Now it jumps between 55 and 64 and since it's a racing game this is really annoying as the image appears to stutter. I've searched high and low for a limiter but I can find such a program. NFS4 runs mighty fine at a solid 64fps. I am almost sure it is the coding in NFS3 causing the stuttering and I hope that by limiting the FPS it will stutter less or not at all.
Mmmm..... I am not aware of this. As you can see it runs at >30 FPS.

and if im wrong why dont you just enable vsync.
I have an LCD monitor and I always have vsync on. However, for the sake of argument I set it back to 60hz, instead of 75hz. This did not have much of an impact as the FPS fluctuate too much below 60 FPS. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I think I will not find a nice program that can limit the FPS in a game. Like I wrote before I have searched the internet quite a bit but have yet to find a program that can actually pull this off.
